Linden Labs recently released a new candidate viewer (1.18.6 RC0) and it also include, in that viewer, the beta of Second Life’s latest feature, Age Verification.
Age Verification is a good thing but, don’t be fooled, it’s Linden Labs way of protecting themselves and putting the responsibility to Second Life’s residents.
Some residents even pointed out that Age Verification should be done during sign-up to filter minors from adults, if that’s really what Linden Labs want, since the main grid of Second Life is for adults only but it seems that minors are now welcome in the main grid because if not then they would not need this Age Verification in-world.
